Qualifications

• Must possess a Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency (Transport Canada) to SCTW 95.
• Hold valid Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1 certification.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR required.
• WHMIS Certificate mandatory.
• Must have valid Transport Canada Marine Medical.

Responsibilities

• Perform watch keeping duties as required.
• Conduct fire and security rounds.
• Engage in general maintenance and hygiene duties.
• Handle multiple tasks efficiently.

The Role

As a result of our robust growth, we are adding a Deckhand/Bridge Watch to our team of professionals.

Primary duties of this role include but are not limited to:

• Perform Watch keeping duties as required
• Perform fire and security rounds
• Perform general maintenance and hygiene duties as directed, including painting, cleaning, planned maintenance work
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes

• Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency (Transport Canada) to SCTW 95
• Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR
• WHMIS Certificate
• Valid Passport with the ability to enter the US
• Valid Transport Canada Marine Medical
• Able to handle multiple tasks
• Experience in a Canadian marine environment in bridge look-out duties and steering duties
• Experience using deck machinery or equipment
• A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.
• As per company policy, a clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.
