YMCA of Three Rivers is seeking a Wellness Program Instructor for Stratford to support adults in achieving health goals. You will develop and deliver exercise and education programs, with emphasis on accessibility for those who are inactive or managing chronic conditions.
The role requires commitment to inclusive, respectful service and collaboration with partners. A registered Kinesiologist or certified trainer with relevant experience is preferred.

You will be part of a vibrant team that provides a safe, supportive and motivating environment for adults to achieve their health and wellness goals. You will help to develop and deliver quality exercise and education programs for adults who may be inactive and/or dealing with chronic health conditions. You will support individual & group fitness-based programs designed for older adults. You will also support program planning and the development and networking of program partners and key contacts.
Ideally, you would be a registered Kinesiologist, certified Exercise Physiologist or certified personal trainer with 1-2 years of experience working with adults who are at risk of, or have chronic health conditions including those who have completed cardiac or stroke rehabilitation.
You will have a commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity to diverse needs. You will have well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with staff, volunteers and service agencies and/or key contacts. YMCA personal trainer and/or group fitness is also an asset.
