Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Nanaimo, BC is hiring a Wellness Advisor to assist customers with natural health products, provide nutrition guidance, and support health events at the Country Club location. The role requires strong communication, a passion for service, and a proactive, learning-focused attitude.

The successful candidate will manage health department inventory, assist with displays, and coach team members to ensure excellent customer experiences and product knowledge across health categories.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Nutritionist, Certified Nutrition Practitioner, or equivalent credentials.
• Experience in retail Wellness and cross-selling.
• Knowledge of health and vitamin products with ability to demonstrate use of products.

Responsibilities

• Assisting, answering questions and providing information on natural health products, supplements and solutions to customers.
• Providing product, nutrition and recipe suggestions and recommendations.
• Supporting in-store health events and related programs and services including demos.
• Inventory management including ordering, stocking, rotating, cleaning and organizing the health department.
• Supporting setup of in-store promotional displays and maintaining planograms.
• Coaching and mentoring team members within the department.

We are hiring for a Wellness Advisor at our Country Club Save-On-Foods location in Nanaimo, BC. The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assisting, answering questions and providing information on natural health products, supplements and solutions to customers.
• Providing product, nutrition and recipe suggestions and recommendations.
• Supporting the coordination and facilitation of in-store health events and other related programs and services including food and product demonstrations.
• Inventory management including ordering, stocking, rotating, cleaning and maintaining the appearance and organization of the health department.
• Supporting with setting up in-store promotional displays.
• Maintaining planograms for the health department.
• Coaching and mentoring team members within the department to support their ongoing development.

Requirements

• Experience as a Nutritionist, Certified Nutrition Practitioner, or equivalent credentials.
• Experience in retail Wellness and cross-selling.
• Knowledge of various health and vitamin products and services available with the ability to effectively demonstrate use of products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and engage with customers on a regular basis.

IND1 Compensation Details:

$21.00 - $23.50 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
