Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is hiring experienced Welders/Spot Welders/Machine Operators for an upcoming assignment in Southern Ontario. This temporary contract role requires 12-hour shifts, 5 days per week when on project. Housing and travel arrangements may be provided as needed.

You will operate and troubleshoot machines, read blueprints, and perform inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. Candidates must have manufacturing experience and be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with strong English

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Welding or Spot Welding experience.
• Experience in steel or metal fabrication industry (an asset).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading blueprints/drawings.
• Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications.
• Make adjustments or tool changes as necessary.
• Housekeeping duties as required for a safe work environment.
