Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Welders/Spot Welders/Machine Operators for an upcoming assignment in Southern Ontario. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

***Please note this is a temporary contract position, so it may not be suitable to someone currently working full time*** You will earn: $35 per hour before overtime, $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required), Paid Travel (up to 4 hours when

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Welding or Spot Welding experience.
• Experience reading blueprints/drawings.
• Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision or in a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Fluent command of English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Operate machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Perform welding or spot welding as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot assigned machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications and adjust as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping for a safe work environment.
