Job summary

Steelhaus Technologies Inc. seeks an experienced Welder in Calgary, AB to perform MIG and TIG welding for production line assemblies.

You will read blueprints, select appropriate materials, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area while adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities include inspecting welds, repairing defects, and coordinating with Quality Control and other teams to ensure high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of welding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of welding techniques is a must.

Responsibilities

• MIG/TIG production line welding as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints or process specifications.
• Recognize defective welds, know the cause and repair the defective area or part.
• Perform checks to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
• Prepare materials for welding using magnet drill and hand grinders.
• Communicate with Quality Control, Shipper/Receiver, and others as needed.
• Keep work area organized and materials/tools properly stored.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area and follow PPE protocols.

About the Role

The Welder will be responsible for creating non‑pressure welds using MIG and TIG welding techniques and maintaining cleanliness of the work area. Organizing tools and materials to ensure proper assembly of the required product.

Duties and Responsibilities

• MIG/TIG production line welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints or process specifications.
• Recognize defective welds, knowing the cause, and repair procedure for the defective area or part.
• Conducting checks to guarantee assigned equipment is operating and in good working order.
• Prepare materials for welding, using magnet drill and hand grinders.
• Effectively communicate with the Quality Control Team, Shipper/Receiver, and other employees, or supervisors.
• Maintain an organized work area and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored when not in use.
• Ensure the assigned work area is clean and free from hazards.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols, including always wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Required Abilities, Knowledge, Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of welding experience preferred
  • Knowledge of welding techniques is a must.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate through Lucid System.
• Demonstrated ability to work to exact drawing and order specifications an asset.
• Ability to read and follow instruction from order on Lucid System.
• Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail to create the highest quality level products.
• Experience using hand tools and equipment, along with experience using measuring.
