Job summary

Aecon invites applications for a Sr. Welding Applications Specialist based in Cambridge, overseeing welding programs for major nuclear projects. You will support construction and site welding teams, manage planning, qualifications, and documentation, and collaborate across Aecon’s Welding Center of Excellence.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in nuclear welding, 5+ years in leadership, and a strong grasp of ASME/CWB/AWS codes; willingness to travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years welding experience in nuclear construction.
• 5+ years supervisory/managerial experience.
• Strong understanding of welding codes (ASME/CWB/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning Aecon's technical welding services for domestic and international projects.
• Coordinate with site welding teams and Nuclear Construction leadership on site visits.
• Lead troubleshooting for weld defects and process qualification.
• Develop and maintain weld procedure documentation and library.
