Job summary

All-Equip/Platinum Trailers is seeking a Welder/Fitter to join our on-site shop in St. Marys, Ontario. You’ll work across production and custom fabrication, building trailer components and prototype parts with skilled hands and precise alignment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years welding and fitting in fabrication or heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in aluminum and steel welding; MIG required, TIG a strong asset.
• Strong fitting skills; able to read drawings and lay out parts.
• Experience in both production and custom fabrication settings.
• Comfortable with prototyping and one-off builds.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches for production and custom projects.
• Fit, assemble, and weld aluminum and steel components to spec.
• Perform production welding on repeat-run trailer components.
• Support custom fabrication and prototyping with new parts.
• Collaborate with engineering to solve fit-up challenges.
• Choose welding processes (MIG/TIG) per material and thickness.
• Use jigs, fixtures, measuring tools for repeatability.
• Operate fabrication equipment safely.
• Inspect welds against quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
