Job summary

All Equip Repair is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter for a diversified role in a busy Ontario shop. You will work across production and custom fabrication, building trailer components and prototypes with accuracy and pride.

The position is full‑time and on‑site, offering day shifts, competitive hourly pay ($28–$36/hr) and a strong benefits package. Overtime is available for those who want it.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE 5+ years of welding and fitting experience in a fabrication, trailer, or heavy‑equipment environment.
• Proficiency in aluminum and steel welding — MIG required, TIG a strong asset.
• Strong fitting skills: read drawings, lay out parts, check tolerances, and build accurate assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches for production and custom projects.
• Fit, assemble, and weld aluminum and steel components with precision and structural integrity.
• Perform production welding on repeat‑run trailer components with consistent quality.
• Support custom fabrication and prototyping by building one‑off parts and test assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineering to solve fit‑up challenges and refine prototypes.
• Select welding processes (MIG/TIG) and adjust parameters based on material and thickness.
• Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure repeatability.
• Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, torches, grinders, hoists, and welding machines.
• Inspect welds against internal quality standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area with proper PPE.
