Job summary

Rampart Steel Ltd. in Edmonton is seeking a skilled welder to join our on-site fabrication team.

You will read welding blueprints, interpret process specifications and operate manual, semi-automatic, and robotic welding equipment to fabricate and repair metal parts. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of welding experience, a Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment with attention to detail and safety.

• 3–5 years welding experience required
• Ability to read welding blueprints and specifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes

• Determine weldability of materials
• Operate welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts
• Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line
