Job summary

JobsMedia.io in Canada seeks a skilled welder for a manufacturing environment. You will interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join aluminum alloys.

You will read welding blueprints and specifications, inspect welds for quality, perform minor maintenance on equipment, and work an evening shift (40 hours per week) in a French-speaking setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding field preferred.
• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
• Ability to read welding blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
• Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
• Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
