Job summary

Boundary Equipment in Edmonton is seeking a Welder to join our shop on large, high‑value mining components. This is not a production welding role; you will contribute to complete, engineering‑led rebuilds and work with inspectors, machinists, and engineers to return equipment to reliable service.

We welcome Journeyperson Welders and registered welding apprentices, with strong practical ability, a dependable work ethic, and a willingness to learn at every stage of the rebuild process.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Welder certification preferred; registered welding apprentices at any level are encouraged to apply.
• Current CWB FCAW and SMAW tickets in flat and horizontal positions are preferred.
• Experience repairing or rebuilding heavy equipment or industrial components is an asset.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble components throughout the inspection and rebuild process.
• Clean and pressure-wash parts and components before inspection and repair.
• Prepare components for rebuilding by cutting, gauging, grinding, and cleaning parts.
• Perform air arc gouging, plasma cutting, and torch work as required.
• Prepare surfaces and paint completed parts and components.
• Follow approved welding procedures, repair instructions, quality requirements, and production standards.
• Complete required production, inspection, and quality documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Support other stages of the rebuild process and assist with additional shop duties as required.

At Boundary Equipment, welding is one partof a much bigger rebuild. We are looking for a Welder to join our Edmonton shopand work on large, high-value components used in some of the toughest miningconditions in the world—equipment where quality, reliability, and attention todetail matter.

This is not a production welding role.You’ll contribute to complete, engineering-led rebuilds and work alongsideexperienced tradespeople, inspectors, machinists, and engineers to returncritical mining equipment to reliable operating condition.

• Overtime may be available orrequired.
• The shop is fast-paced andrequires close attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
