Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. in Cambridge, Ontario seeks a skilled welder to join our permanent team. You will interpret welding specifications, operate manual/Semi-automatic and robotic welding equipment, read blueprints, and ensure weld quality and safety.

The role requires 1 year to 2 years experience or equivalent, and education in trades. You will work with steel and heavy metals on custom fabrications, maintain equipment, and have reliable transportation. Health benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

Job description

TASKS
  • Interpret welding process specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals andprocesses
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bendingmachines
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal partsand products
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or tofill holes, indentations and seams of metal
  • Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and solderingequipment
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
