Pulford Community Living Services Inc. is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional for weekend relief in Winnipeg, MB. You will assist adults with intellectual disabilities with daily living, support with activities, and promote independence in a person-centered environment.

The role requires empathy, reliable attendance, and the ability to work with a team. Valid driver’s license and required clearances are essential, with training provided as needed.

Formación

• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry and Adult Abuse Registry within last 3 months.
• Valid Class 5F Manitoba Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
• NVCI training certification is an asset.
• Demonstrate effective communication strategies and strong relationship-building.
• Dependable and reliable with ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Flexibility in availability required.

• Advocate for inclusion and community participation for vulnerable persons.
• Ensure emotional, physical, spiritual, and medical needs are met when required.
• Maintain positive and effective communication with individuals and team.
• Be caring, patient, respectful and understanding in all interactions.
• Assist with completion and secure storage of records per agency and regulatory policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and training; maintain confidentiality.
• Assist individuals with day-to-day management of funds.
• Ensure a safe, well-maintained living environment complying with safety and health regulations.
