Job summary

Karis Disability Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist people with developmental disabilities in daily living and community activities. You will collaborate with families, advocates and staff to promote choice and belonging.

Qualifications

• A valid Sask. Full Class 5 or Sask. Novice 2 driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment) preferred.
• May involve driving/travel within the local community with people supported as passengers.

• Assist with activities of daily living and promote citizenship and relationships.
• Collaborate with families, advocates, friends and community partners to support self-determination.

Requirements:

• A valid Sask. Full Class 5 or Sask. Novice 2 driver's license and access to reliable transportation
• Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract

Preferred:

• 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field

Working Conditions:

• This location supports service users who smoke and/or vape
• May involve driving/travel within the local community with people supported as passengers
