Job Description: Position Summary: Under supervision, responsible for maintaining assets like roadways, signs, guardrails, tunnels, vegetation, etc., according to contract standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and repair highway surfaces, signs, guardrails, and related infrastructure.
2. Operate vehicles and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
3. Remove snow and ice using appropriate equipment.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Set up and remove traffic control measures.
• Transport crew and equipment to sites.
• Be available for emergency response rotations, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Ability to interpret instructions and documents.
• Adaptability to changing demands and priorities.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools, traffic control devices, and mobile equipment.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related experience preferred.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Valid Ontario Class DZ driver’s license or higher.
• Training in traffic control, first aid, dangerous goods, WHMIS, and occupational health.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Use of manual and powered tools and equipment.
• Exposure to weather conditions, chemicals, insects, and noise.
• Must wear PPE and recognize hazards.
