Finishing Dozer Operator – Civil

Location: Alberta (Remote Project Site)

Position Type: Full-time Contract

Wage/Salary Range: $38.00–$40.00+ per hour, depending on experience

Shift Schedule: 6 days on / 1 day off rotation

Hours Per Day: 12 hours per day

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Finishing Dozer Operator – Civil to join our Valued Clients team at a remote Alberta project. This is a full-time contract position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate CAT D6/D8 dozers or equivalent with precision in civil grading applications

  • Perform finishing work for road construction, site grading, and backfill operations

  • Read and follow site drawings and instructions with minimal supervision

  • Perform routine equipment inspections and daily maintenance

  • Comply with all site safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience operating finishing dozers in civil or heavy construction

  • Valid Ground Disturbance and CSTS/OSSA or CSO certification

  • Strong understanding of grades and stakes

  • Class 5 driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on large civil infrastructure or energy projects

  • Familiarity with GPS-controlled equipment

  • First Aid certification

Work Environment:

  • Remote camp-based site with rugged terrain

  • Outdoor work in variable weather conditions

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required daily

  • Hotel accommodations and LOA provided
