Our priority is to hire safe, proficient heavy equipment operators who care about safety and service quality. The minimum responsibilities of an equipment operator include:

  1. Knowing and embracing the company’s operating values.
  2. Daily waste placement, compaction, and covering using CAT 950 Loader, Skid steer/Bobcat, and forklift as needed.
  3. Promoting a safety culture by maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
  4. Operating heavy equipment safely and proficiently, avoiding preventable damage.
  5. Communicating clearly and courteously with the scale and shop.
  6. Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
  7. Reporting defects or repairs via Daily Inspection Reports.
  8. Performing routine fluid checks, fueling, greasing, and undercarriage cleaning.
  9. Maintaining equipment, compactors, and yard daily, keeping them debris-free.

Hours of Operation: Location-dependent

  • 117 Advance Blvd: 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • 650 Creditstone, Vaughan: shifts from 4:00 am to 1:30 pm or 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience; enclosed waste facility experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work well with others; teamwork is essential.
  • Experience operating skid steer, excavator, loader, forklift, etc.
  • Availability for maintenance and cleaning shifts, including occasional overtime.
  • Willingness to work alternating Saturdays from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and pass pre-employment requirements.
