Job Description:

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining and repairing project vehicles and equipment through inspection, servicing, diagnosing operational issues, and ensuring compliance with provincial requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Inspect vehicles and equipment for malfunctions or damages, performing repairs or replacements as needed.
  2. Order and ensure timely procurement of spare parts.
  3. Diagnose operational problems and recommend necessary repairs or parts replacement.
  4. Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare cost estimates for repairs.
  5. Ensure all vehicles and equipment pass safety inspections and meet provincial standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
  • Ability to detect malfunctions and operate repair tools and testing machinery proficiently.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle repair principles, including electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to follow instructions and use technical manuals effectively.
  • Knowledge of snow removal equipment, loaders, graders, and backhoes is an asset.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 310T Certification and a valid driver’s license in good standing are required.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Work outside and in indoor shop environments.
