Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Wealth Management Finance Internship-Co-op for Winter 2027 in Toronto, Ontario. The program offers hands-on exposure to financial data, reporting, and forecasting within a client-focused wealth management environment.

You will engage with multiple teams and gain practical experience through mentored roles. Successful candidates are currently enrolled in post-secondary education, with strong communication skills and an interest in finance, accounting, or economics.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Interest in finance, accounting, or economics.
• Motivated, independent, and results-oriented.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for reporting periods.
• Support the team in gathering, analysing, and presenting monthly and quarterly results.
• Assist with reporting, planning, and forecasting tasks.
• Help with process reviews and implement recommended changes.
• Provide a friendly environment for internal and external clients regarding inquiries.
• Complete transfer-related activities efficiently.
• Join special projects or analyses as assigned by the Manager.
• Escalate issues to the Manager when needed.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Assistin the preparation of financial statements forappropriate reportingperiods.
• Assistand support the team in financial data gathering,analysis,and presentation of monthly and quarterly results.
• Assistin all aspects of (1) reporting, (2) planning, and (3) forecasting.
• Assistmanagement with planning and continual process review by bringing forward your ideas and implementing communicated and other recommended changes.
• Provide afriendly courteousenvironment for our internal & external clients in response to account transfer inquiries.
• Complete all transfer related activities in an efficient manner.
• Join special projects/analyses on an ad-hoc basis as assigned by the Manager or Senior Manager.
• Bring forward/escalate problem items as necessary to the Manager.
