Job summary

Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. in Surrey, BC, is hiring a Waterproofing Estimator to prepare bids, perform quantity take-offs, and develop detailed cost estimates for waterproofing systems.

The role requires a diploma or degree in a related field and at least 2 years of construction experience, particularly with waterproofing or building envelopes. You will collaborate with suppliers and project teams, utilize Bluebeam/PlanSwift and MS Office, and manage bid tracking and cost databases to support

• A diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, preferably in waterproofing, roofing, or building envelope projects.
• Strong understanding of waterproofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for cost estimation and quantity take-offs.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel, and GoNest (or similar estimating/optimization software).
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review project documents, including drawings and specifications, to assess waterproofing scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity take-offs and material estimates for waterproofing systems (e.g., below-grade, foundation, roofing interfaces, plaza decks).
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for waterproofing projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Submit bids and track project proposals to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate costs.
• Communicate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure alignment on project scope.
• Use industry-specific software, such as Bluebeam and Microsoft Office, for estimating and documentation.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing records, and bid tracking systems.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Waterproofing Estimator to play a key role in delivering competitive and accurate bids from our Surrey, BC office. What You’ll Do
