Job summary

Bothwell-Accurate Co. Inc. is hiring for a full-time roofing professional to service commercial projects across the GTA.

Candidates should have significant experience with commercial flat roofing and the ability to work at heights, in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality. The role involves repairing or replacing roofing systems, detecting leaks, installing single-ply membranes, and applying waterproof coatings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial flat roofing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work at heights.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace roofing systems.
• Detect leaks.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Repair, replace or install single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces.
• Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems with asphalt and gravel.
• Pour hot asphalt and tar.
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
• Set up scaffolding.

Wage:

$51.48 per hour + benefits according to Union Provincial Collective Agreement (F/T position)

Location of Work:

Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Province of Ontario

What You’ll Do:

• Repair or replace roofing systems


• Detect leaks


• Clean and maintain equipment


• Repair, replace or install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions


• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level


• Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel


• Pour hot asphalt and tar


• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools


• Set-up scaffolding

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Hand-eye co-ordination, physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads; Large workload, Repetitive tasks, overtime required, work under pressure, fast-paced environment.

Area of specialization:

Conventional and inverted built-up system, modified roofing system, rigid pre-formed roofing system, single ply sheet membrane roofing system

Work Site Environment:

At heights, Noisy, Dusty, Dangerous, Outdoors

Work Setting:

Commercial, industrial

Job Requirements:
