Job summary

Stantec is seeking a water and wastewater focused process engineer to join our Windsor, Ontario Office. You will work on water treatment and conveyance projects, collaborating with a diverse team across North America.

Under guidance, you will develop engineering calculations, prepare technical reports, and support proposals while growing into an independent engineering role. The ideal candidate has a PE or can obtain within 12 months, 5+ years in water/wastewater, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Process, Environmental, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold Stantec’s Health and Safety culture, ensuring all project activities align with standards.
• Lead and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, providing timely updates and identifying risks.
• Contribute to development of design basis reports, engineering assessments, data analysis and calculations for water/wastewater.
• Prepare detailed analyses and evaluations supporting planning, design or optimization of facilities.
• Develop and review construction specifications, tender documents, and regulatory submissions.
• Support preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and construction documents.
• Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities as a technical contact.
• Conduct site visits to support proposals and project development.
• Review projects during construction, monitor contractor performance and schedule adherence.
• Manage contract administration, change requests, and stakeholder communications.
