Job summary

City of Hamilton is seeking a Project Manager for Infrastructure Management to lead water, wastewater and stormwater asset projects. You will oversee engineering and financial studies, manage budgets, liaise with consultants, and coordinate across departments to deliver cost‑effective infrastructure improvements.

You will present to staff and external agencies, prepare long‑range plans, and develop capital improvement business cases while aligning with provincial guidelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) membership preferred.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure project management.
• Knowledge of water/wastewater/stormwater assets.
• Familiarity with water/wastewater lifecycle asset management programs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams and officials.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of water/wastewater and stormwater project initiatives.
• Develop engineering and financial studies and manage budgets.
• Liaise with consultants and internal departments; present to staff and external agencies.
• Oversee asset management audits and prepare terms of reference.
• Create long-range plans and capital improvement business cases.
• Prepare reports and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with City and Provincial guidelines.
• Participate in budgets preparation.
