Job summary

Region of Waterloo is seeking a Manager, Development Engineering (Water and Wastewater) to lead a team overseeing water and wastewater infrastructure, including feasibility studies, master plans, and lin­ear construction projects. The role focuses on planning, capacity allocation, and inter-municipal coordination.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, with proven leadership, budgeting, and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with eligibility/ activelicensure as a PEO Professional Engineer in Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Water Analysts, Engineers, interns, data modellers and students.
• Oversee hydraulic modelling and related tools to assess impacts on distribution and collection systems.
• Coordinate with area municipalities and internal teams on capital budgets and asset planning.
• Lead complex water and wastewater projects including growth and asset renewal programs.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership and Council on long-term strategy and performance.
