Job summary

Rayleigh Waterworks District is seeking a qualified Utility Operator to monitor and operate water treatment, distribution, wastewater collection, and related systems. You will maintain records, perform testing, respond to issues, and support safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires EOCP certificates, water quality knowledge and strong troubleshooting skills, with on-call responsibilities and a rotational schedule in Kamloops, BC.

Qualifications

• EOCP certifications are required as listed.
• Public/private utility experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of water treatment, distribution and wastewater systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor water treatment and distribution systems and SCADA.
• Perform daily water quality testing and record results.
• Inspect and maintain plant and utility equipment.
• Respond to system issues and emergencies; participate in on-call duties.
• Maintain records and maps; assist with training of staff.
