Job summary

The City of Kamloops is seeking a permanent, full-time Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team and ensure safe, clean drinking water for the community. You will operate, maintain and optimize a state-of-the-art treatment system under the Crew Leader – Water Treatment Facility, making key operational decisions daily and upholding stringent regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate holds EOCP Level III Water Treatment Certificate, a Water Technology credential, at least three years of

Qualifications

• EOCP Level III Water Treatment Certificate or equivalent.
• Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a Water Technology program.
• Minimum three years of experience in water treatment at a Class III/IV facility.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; 70% test pass rate required.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.
