Job summary

BAAC is seeking a Skilled Labourer to support water, sewer, storm, and underground utilities on a remote Fox Creek project. You will work with civil construction crews on municipal/industrial infrastructure, focusing on excavation, pipe installation, grading, and site servicing.

The role requires at least 3 years in water and sewer construction, strong safety habits, and the ability to work outdoors in variable weather on a rotational schedule. LOA is provided for days spent away from Calgary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of civil construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years of water and sewer construction experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract.
• Ability to work a rotational schedule in Fox Creek, Alberta.
• Experience around underground utility construction and excavation activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and underground utility systems.
• Perform pipe installation, bedding, backfilling, compaction, and utility tie-ins.
• Assist excavation crews and work safely around trenching operations.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, grades, and utility locates.
• Install manholes, catch basins, valves, hydrants, and related infrastructure.
• Perform grading, site preparation, restoration, and cleanup activities.
• Safely operate hand tools, compaction equipment, pumps, and small construction equipment.
• Support operators, forepersons, pipe crews, and survey personnel.
