BAAC Construction is seeking dependable labourers to join our field team in Alberta. The role involves works outdoors, supporting telecommunications and civil construction projects, with opportunities to travel for out-of-town assignments.

We value a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and reliability. Prior telecom or fiber experience is not required, as training is provided, and LOA is available for qualifying travel.

Responsibilities

• Support equipment operators and field crews.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Perform general labour duties and follow site requirements.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.

BAAC Construction is looking for dependable, hardworking Labourers to join our growing field team.

While many construction companies slow down during the winter months, BAAC is ramping up. We are looking for people who are ready to work, willing to travel, and want to be part of a growing company with ongoing project opportunities.

Experience working around telecommunications, fiber optic construction, utilities, civil construction, or underground infrastructure is considered an asset, but it is not required. We are willing to work with people who bring the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supporting telecommunications, underground utility, and civil construction crews


• Assisting with excavation, trenching, conduit installation, and site preparation


• Hand digging and exposing utilities where required


• Loading, unloading, moving, and organizing materials and equipment


• Assisting equipment operators, drill crews, locators, foremen, and other field personnel


• Maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas


• Performing general labour and construction-related duties as required


• Following company safety policies, procedures, and site requirements


• Completing other duties as assigned based on operational and project needs

Employees must be willing to assist wherever required and understand that duties may change depending on the needs of the project, crew, or company.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or telecommunications experience is an asset but not mandatory


• Experience around fiber optic, telecom, utility, HDD, or civil construction is considered an asset


• Valid driver's license is preferred


• Ability to travel and work away from home for long durations


• Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks


• Strong attitude toward safety, teamwork, and accountability
