Job summary

CKB Construction in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a skilled equipment operator to support water and sewer projects. Reporting to the foreman, you will handle loaders of various sizes, assist with trench work, load materials, and perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related experience, a Class 5 license with clean abstract, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015. Ability to lift 60 lbs and work outdoors in all weather is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of directly related experience.
• Class 5 driver’s license and clean abstract.
• CSTS 2020.
• WHMIS 2015.
• Able to lift 60 lbs. unaided.

Responsibilities

• Participate and provide input during morning toolbox.
• Provide daily upkeep with the equipment you are assigned (greasing, fueling, cleaning).
• Experience operating on congested streets.
• Operate loaders of various sizes (244, 444, 544).
• Load and unload materials from trucks (pipe, MH material).
• Supply sand and rock for pipe bedding in trenches.
• Assist with backfill when needed.
• Read and understand site plans to anticipate material needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
