Job summary

TYLin is seeking an Intermediate Planner to join our Water Sector team in the Greater Toronto Area. The role involves supporting feasibility studies and policy planning, preparing planning reports, and collaborating with design teams to meet client requirements.

Candidates should have a Planning degree with 3–5 years in urban/infrastructure planning, strong writing and communication skills, and a client-focused mindset. An RPP designation is preferred; construction support experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Planning.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in urban and infrastructure planning.
• RPP (Registered Professional Planner) designation or eligibility is strongly preferred.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Engineering support during construction and contract administration experience is considered an asset.
• Client-focused mindset, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support active infrastructure planning assignments, including feasibility studies, linear corridor and vertical facility analyses, and policy and master planning projects.
• Prepare planning reports and alternative assessments.
• Take on increasing responsibility for deliverable development, stakeholder engagement, and analysis.
• Collaborate with the project design team to deliver projects (Environmental Assessment Reports, Studies and Detailed Design) that meet client requirements.
• Mentor junior team members, leading by example to promote a high-performance team culture.
