Job summary

TYLin Group, a global infrastructure consultancy, seeks an experienced Traffic Engineer for its City Solutions practice in the Greater Toronto Area. Eligible candidates include RAQS-certified professionals or those eligible to obtain certification, with a P.Eng. license in Ontario.

The role emphasizes transportation planning, high-stakes studies, client coordination, and mentorship within a collaborative team. Hybrid work is offered along with a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) years of experience in transportation engineering.
• RAQS certification (or eligibility to attain) in Traffic Impact Analysis or Traffic Studies is required.
• Extensive knowledge of transportation planning and engineering including data collection, processing and management; modelling and simulation; and Ontario standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate proposals, budgets and schedules for traffic and transportation planning projects.
• Complete traffic impact studies, feasibility studies, and designs for highways, roads and intersections.
• Conduct field surveys and observations; communicate with clients and approval agencies.
• Participate in client progress meetings and public presentations.
• Mentor and coordinate project work in Transportation Planning.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to join our City Solutions practice in the Greater Toronto Area. Candidates must either be RAQS certified in Traffic Impact Analysis or Transportation Studies, or eligible to become certified.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Coordinate the preparation of proposals, budgets and schedules for traffic and transportation planning consulting and design projects under the guidance of senior Transportation Planning professionals.
• Complete traffic impact studies, feasibility studies, functional plans, and preliminary / detailed designs for highways, roads and intersections, area transportation studies, traffic operations and parking demand investigations, analyses and recommendations, and site impact analyses.
• Conduct field surveys and observations
• Communicate with clients and approval agencies.
• Participate in client progress meetings and public presentations.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned clients and regulatory approval officials.
• Participates with senior management in promotional activities for the company.
• Provide project status reports on a regular basis and as required.
• Mentor and coordinate project work in all faucets of Transportation Planning.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• Minimum six (6) years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Licensed as a professional engineer (P.Eng.) from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
• RAQS certification (or eligibility to attain) in Traffic Impact Analysis or Traffic Studies is required.
• Extensive knowledge of transportation planning and engineering including: Data collection, processing and management. Transportation modelling and simulation. Ontario municipal and provincial (MTO) standards and requirements Functional planning for transportation infrastructure, transportation safety analysis and mitigation, traffic impact studies, construction traffic staging analysis and design, and transit studies Managing traffic analysis work, clear reporting of findings, and presenting to clients.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $125,000-$140,000 for this position and local market.
