Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. is seeking a Water Damage Technician to respond to water incidents, remove water, set up drying equipment, and restore homes and businesses to their pre-disaster state.

You will be the first responder bringing empathy and urgency, turning chaos into clean, dry order while supporting emergency mitigation and restoration tasks. Regular 24/7 on-call may apply.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude and able to assess how things work.
• Demolition experience with careful, mindful handling and good housekeeping.
• Organized with strong time management and tool aware.
• Physically fit for lifting and working in tight spaces.
• Tech savviness to learn applications and programs as required.
• Interest in cross training across remediation and related teams.
• Willingness to wear PPE provided for the job, including masks.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn; team player.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to satisfy On Side’s background check requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and verbal.

Position Summary

At On Side, our Water Damage Technicians are the calm in the storm—literally. From burst pipes to sewer surprises, you’ll be the first responder who turns chaos into clean, dry order.

You’ll work hands-on to remove water, set up drying equipment, and help restore homes and businesses to their pre-disaster state. Empathy and urgency are key, you’re not just fixing spaces, you’re helping people through one of their most stressful moments.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $21-$25/hour

What You’ll Do

• Mechanical aptitude— you can look at something and just know how it works
• Demolition experience- careful, mindful, good housekeeping
• Organized with a good sense of time— you’re rarely late and know where all your tools are
• Physically fit— water damage can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight places
• Tech savviness (capability to learn applications and computer programs as required)
• Interest in cross training in Remediation, Contents Cleaning, Emergency, and helping all teams
• Willing to wear the PPE that is provided for the job, including being clean shaven (if applicable) for half and full-face masks
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn—we’re prepared to teach the right candidate everything they need to succeed
• Friendly and enjoys working in a team!
• Valid driver’s licence & clean drivers abstract
• Able to successfully satisfy On Side’s criminal record check requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
