Position Summary

Reporting to the Logistics Department, AZ and DZ Drivers are responsible for the pick‑up and delivery of raw material and finished goods on a variety of routes and shifts.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 10 to 12 hours per day

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Required at times to drive out‑of‑town routes into the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto
• Evening shifts along with weekend work will be required depending on weekly route scheduling
• Accurate completion and submission of all required paperwork
• Conduct all interactions with customers and suppliers in a respectful, professional, and service‑oriented manner
• Required to formally report any concerns or customer‑service‑related issues
• Responsible for following all Company and Health and Safety rules and for communicating all reportable incidents
• Responsible to ensure that both tractors and trailers are maintained in a clean and presentable condition
• Responsible for ensuring safe driving operations at all times
• Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with ad‑hoc issues that may arise

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Valid AZ License
• Customer service oriented
• Familiarity driving within the Province of Ontario
• Working knowledge and adherence to HTA and MTO applicable legislation
• Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
• Team oriented and willing to assist with all routes
• Tasks will include some physical demands such as repetitive pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.
• Ability to complete physical requirements is required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the AODA, ESA, OHSA and other federal and provincial standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the AODA, ESA, OHSA and other federal and provincial standards
• Ability to keep up with physically demanding tasks such as repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.
• Sitting for long stretches at a time (up to 3 hours)
• Must be able to alternate between walking, standing and moving for periods of time
• Must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to climb onto truck trailers, climb truck ladders as required and stretch and view difficult areas
