Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader in Canada to supervise daily warehouse operations, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting. Lead a team to meet customer requirements with focus on efficiency and safety.

You will manage resources, guide team members toward improved KPI performance, and ensure proper orientation, tools, and safety practices are in place for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED preferred
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved KPI's using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
