Job summary

Advantage Personnel is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead in Scarborough, Ontario. The role oversees daily warehouse operations, directs staff, and ensures shift targets are achieved. After a 6-week training period, duties transition to an afternoon shift from 3:00pm to 1:00am.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, RF scanning, and inventory control experience, plus proficiency with WMS and Excel. Certification for Raymond Reach/Cherry Picker is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a Supervisory/Lead role in a warehouse.
• 6+ years experience using RF scanners.
• 6+ years experience with inventory control and cycle counts.
• Certified Raymond Reach/Cherry Picker operator with valid license.
• Comfortable using and navigating a WMS application.
• Proficient with MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize activities of warehouse staff, assigning and distributing orders.
• Provide direction to personnel and ensure shift targets are met.
• Train new warehouse employees and maintain safety standards.
• Operate Raymond Reach/Cherry Picker to support targets.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure SOPs are followed daily and assist with special tasks as needed.

Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Team Lead

Job Type: Full-time Permanent

Location: Scarborough, Ontario

Shift/Hours: 6-week training period - 8:00am-4:00pm. After training period, role will transition to afternoon shift, 3:00pm-1:00am

Pay Rate: $ 25.00-30.00/ hr

This Warehouse Team lead will be responsible for planning, overseeing and participating in warehouse operations and activities while providing directions to assigned personnel. Reporting to the warehouse manager, the Team Lead will ensure all warehouse function targets are achieved during the shift and operate warehouse equipment when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and prioritize the activities of warehouse employees, including organizing, assigning, and distributing customer orders
• Communicate issues or concerns related to operational procedures and/or personnel issues with Warehouse Management to address
• Assist in training new Warehouse Employees
• Operate the Raymond Reach/Cherry Picker to assist in achieving shift targets
• Seek continuous improvement in operational, organizational, and team building processes
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed and adhered to daily
• Perform special tasks and assignments as required by Warehouse Management

Qualifications:

• 6+ years ' experience using RF scanners
• 6+ years ' experience working with inventory control and cycle counts
• Certified Raymond Reach/Cherry Picker Operator with valid license
• Comfortable using and navigating in a WMS application
• Proficient with MS Excel
• Ability to motivate within a team setting and lead by example to attain shift targets
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
• Effective time management skills with attention to detail
