Our continued growth and development has created a need for a Warehouse Supervisor in our Saskatoon production facility.
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, moving, and shipping supplies, stock, and materials. The role involves managing the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods, ensuring timely delivery without damage, and developing both short-term and long-term warehouse plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- People Management
- Organize activities and assign tasks to staff.
- Maintain layout, space management, work organization charts, and procedures such as SOP, 6S, and WI.
- Manage stock control, including receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of goods, as well as shipment loading, transferring, and data entry into Syteline.
- Plan warehouse resources and activities aligned with company objectives, including recruitment and hiring.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and security of the building and stock.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping.
- Motivate staff to achieve efficient warehouse operations.
- Evaluate employee performance and maintain related records.
Safety Management- Ensure safety procedures are followed by all employees.
- Update Safe Operating Procedures for mobile equipment as needed.
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Act, TDG, and WHMIS regulations.
Production- Monitor work times and collect data to ensure production schedules are met.
- Review and improve production processes for efficiency.
- Provide backup duties for other supervisors during absences.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization per 5S goals.
- Ensure cross-training of staff using the skills matrix.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels in Syteline.
- Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and safety and HR documentation.
Quality Control- Investigate process-driven quality failures following company procedures.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma with at least two years of relevant work experience.
- College or university degree in business, logistics, or related fields, or industry experience, is an asset.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, clamps, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, with OSHA certification.
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in warehousing.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mobile equipment operation.
- Knowledge of WCB regulations and risk assessments.
- Experience with ERP systems like Syteline is an asset.
- Training or experience in Bottleneck management, JIT, Standard Works, QDIP, A3 problem solving, Lean, and 5S methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure, with sound judgment.
