Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in supply chain, logistics, or related field; professional designations are assets.
• Minimum of 5 years’ leadership or supervision experience in warehouse/distribution/logistics.
• Familiarity with food safety standards such as BRC, HACCP, or SQF.
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in flour-dust environments with PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, handling, storage, and distribution of all freight.
• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure orders ship on time.
• Monitor delays or variances in freight movement.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
• Ensure documentation for regulated or hazardous materials.
• Supervise warehouse staff including hiring and training.
• Conduct inventory spot-checks and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage equipment needs and purchasing of warehouse machinery.
• Implement and track KPIs for shipping and receiving.

Your Team

P&H Milling: P&H Milling is Canada’s largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing high-quality flour and cereal products for bakeries, food manufacturers, and consumers. From coast to coast, we transform Canadian wheat into trusted products that feed families at home and abroad.

We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for all inventory, warehousing, and distribution activities. This role manages inbound and outbound freight, ensures compliance with safety and organizational policies, and provides strong leadership to support efficient logistics operations.

Day to Day

• Oversee the receipt, handling, storage, and distribution of all incoming and outgoing freight.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure orders are shipped on time and according to schedule.
• Monitor and communicate delays or variances in freight movement.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization while preventing damage or loss.
• Ensure proper documentation for regulated or hazardous materials.
• Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, delegation, and performance management.
• Conduct inventory spot‑checks, resolve discrepancies, and investigate lost or damaged shipments.
• Manage equipment needs and oversee purchasing of warehouse machinery and supplies.
• Implement and track performance metrics for shipping and receiving functions.

What You’ll Bring:

• Post‑secondary education in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Professional designations such as P.Log, CITT, SCMP, or equivalent are considered assets.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the leadership or supervision of warehouse or distribution/logistics operations.
• Familiarity with food safety standards such as BRC, HACCP or SQF.
• Strong Excel skills with solid proficiency in Microsoft Word and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in environments with flour dust, noise, vibration, and varying temperatures while adhering to all PPE requirements.
