Your Opportunity

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates, coordinating logistics activities, and collaborating with production, procurement, and quality control teams to support seamless manufacturing operations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.

This position oversees daily warehouse operations within the manufacturing environment of Due North, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials, components, and finished goods, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity.

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 5:45 am - 4:30 pm

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage stock control: goods receipt, storage, retrieval, timely picking, and data entry into systems.
  • Calculate space availability and storage needs.
  • Coordinate with establishment representatives to resolve issues such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance.
  • Work with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities related to production, sales, and purchasing.
  • Ensure safety checks are completed for lifting devices and safety documentation is maintained.
  • Ensure products have accurate estimates for quantities and appropriate storage containers.
  • Arrange efficient storage of incoming materials.
  • Implement and oversee warehouse safety and security programs.
  • Inspect materials and equipment for defects or malfunctions.
  • Monitor product locations for efficiency and report concerns.
  • Oversee pickup and delivery processes.
  • Address questions and complaints from customers and team members regarding warehouse services.
  • Review orders and forecasts to anticipate peak delivery periods.
  • Coordinate with production schedules to determine inventory and staffing needs within budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and report warehouse issues such as damaged or missing stock.
  • Maintain clear aisles and organized storage areas.
  • Generate inventory and KPI reports for management.
  • Stay updated with the latest warehouse technology and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Extensive experience in shipping/receiving warehouse operations.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
