Job summary

Toromont Cat in Thunder Bay is hiring a Parts Warehouse Person to coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure exceptional service to internal and external customers.

The role requires a minimum secondary education, the ability to learn, and safe lift-truck operation while handling parts, orders, and inventory. This is a full-time, permanent position with a wage of $26.43 per hour and a total rewards package.

• Perform daily parts warehouse duties, including processing shop and customer orders.
• Receive and process stock, pick and deliver parts to internal and external customers.
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic inventory.
• Provide on-call weekend support for emergency parts orders.
• Safely operate lift truck and handle packaging/dangerous goods as needed.

Toromont Cat is looking for a Parts Warehouse Person to join our team in Thunder Bay! The plays a key role in coordinating and executing day to day operations in the warehouse to ensure the entire team is providing superior service to the internal and external customers.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policy, Programs and initiatives
• Perform all daily functions of the Parts Operations including parts warehouse duties as necessary, including processing shop and customer orders, stock order receipt and processing, picking and delivery of parts to internal and external customers, processing incoming and outgoing freight and stock transfers
• Ensure customers’ needs are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner
• Help maintain the parts physical and electronic inventory
• Provide on-call service on weekends for emergency parts orders on a rotating basis
• Safely operate lift truck
• Packaging and shipping of dangerous goods
• Assist with the organization and control of inventory
