Toromont Cat is seeking a Crushing Parts Specialist to join our team. You will be the primary contact for proactive parts solutions, contributing to a superior customer experience across multiple locations in Eastern Canada.

The role offers full-time, permanent employment with a compensation range of $59,025.00 to $73,782.50. Expect safe work practices, ongoing training, and a supportive team environment within a premier Caterpillar dealership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years proven experience in a parts operation.
• Safety conscious with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Technical knowledge of heavy equipment/truck parts is an asset.
• Customer-centric with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid sales acumen to link product knowledge to customer needs.
• Organized, multitasker able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle parts inquiries and correspondence via phone and email promptly.
• Provide product expertise and recommend relevant parts promotions.
• Oversee daily parts operations: sourcing, ordering, backorders, inventory counts, cores, and warranties.
• Build hydraulic hoses for internal and external customers.
• Provide on-call service as needed, including weekends and evenings.

Compensation

$59,025.00 to $73,782.50

The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times,in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
• Manage Crushing parts inquiries and correspondence effectivelyover the phone through our 1-800 phone line and byemail in a timely and courteous manner
• Enhance our customer's experience and commitment to brand loyaltyby providing product expertise, relevant parts recommendations and regular communication of current and upcoming parts promotions
• Managethe daily functions of the parts operation, including sourcing, procuring andordering parts, following up onbackorders and credits, conducting inventory counts, processing cores and warrantiesas well as building hydraulic hoses for both internal and external customers
• Provide on call service as required, at times on weekends and evenings

Must-haves for this role:

• 3+ years proven experience working in a parts operation
• Safety conscious and a mindset for continuous improvement
• Technical knowledge specific to theheavy equipment/truck parts industry would be an asset
• Customer-centric with a proven ability to build and sustain customer relationships through effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Solid sales acumenwith skills necessary to proactively and effectively link product knowledge to customer needs
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
• A positive, self-motivated team player with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Applications
• Knowledge of DBS, CATSIS, or experience with similar systems would be beneficial
• Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of the business needs
