Job summary

Cummins Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Operator in Edmonton, AB. You will follow established procedures to receive, store, and dispatch goods, while maintaining safety and accuracy in inventory and paperwork.

The role involves handling, labeling, and moving goods, with forklift operation and routine housekeeping tasks. A high school diploma is expected, and prior warehouse/manufacturing experience is preferred in a fast-paced environment.

  • Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and wear PPE.
  • Fast-paced warehouse with a lot of standing and lifting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, handle, store and dispatch goods following procedures.
  • Check for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
  • Sort, label and store goods to optimize space.
  • Pick, pack and dispatch orders per requests.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area and perform routine maintenance as needed.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Warehouse Operator to join our team in Edmonton, AB

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Under some supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.

  • Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.

  • Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.

  • Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests orders.

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.

  • Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks as needed.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Previous experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing industry is preferred.

  • Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment

  • Please note, this is a fast-paced warehouse environment, there will be a lot of standing and lifting.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
