Job summary

Emerson is recruiting for a Warehouse Person at our Brantford, ON site within the Operations team. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and accurate execution of shipping and inventory tasks, with training on warehouse systems and cycle counts.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a safety mindset, good verbal and written communication, and flexibility to work overtime as needed. In-house training will be provided for equipment and software usage.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others; good listening and problem-solving.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.
• Preferred: experience working within a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safe work practices and a thorough understanding of stop work authority and safety culture.
• Apply 5S principles with discipline, maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards that support hazard recognition, risk mitigation, and effective workplace inspections.
• Safely operate material handling equipment, any other necessary tools. In-house training provided.
• Follow work instructions, verbal instructions, and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively use warehouse management, inventory, and shipping software systems.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when selecting shipping methods, following packaging guidelines, and meeting any special shipping requirements.
• Actively participate in the cycle count program to maintain inventory accuracy and support operational excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

The salary/pay range for this role is $21.25, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
