Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Operator at our Calgary location to perform warehouse duties, handle materials including some hazardous products, and prepare orders for shipping. The role involves forklift use, inventory monitoring, and assisting with off-loading and inbound/outbound processes at the 4220 78th Ave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied weather.
• Forklift experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders and prepare them for shipping using a forklift to place products on skids and wrap skids, and then load the skids onto trucks
• Assist with the off-loading with trucks and putting away of product
• Bulk liquid transfer from rail to tank or truck
• Prepare product orders for customers including custom blending and packaging
• Clean and maintain the warehouse and equipment
• Some outdoor work required in various weather conditions

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Warehouse operator is responsible for performing all warehouse duties as required.
What you’ll do:

• Material handling of some hazardous products
• Monitor inventory levels of Company products
• Pick orders and prepare them for shipping using a forklift to place products on skids and wrap skids, and then load the skids onto trucks
• Assists with the off-loading with trucks and putting away of product
• Bulk liquid transfer from rail to tank or truck
• Prepares product orders for customers to include custom blending and packaging
• Cleans and maintains the warehouse and equipment
• Some outdoor work required in various weather conditions
  

What you’ll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent working experience
• Strong organizational, mathematical, computer and clerical skills
• Self-motivated and able to work within company policy where experience and
• independent judgement is demonstrated
• Forklift operation experience an asset
• WHMIS and/or TDG training an asset
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
