Job summary

Martin-Brower in Brampton, Canada seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations for a McDonald's distributorship. You will plan manpower, schedule equipment, and maintain a master delivery schedule while upholding safety, quality, and service targets.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily dispatch, managing unionized workforce per the collective agreement, monitoring payroll, and guiding staff with SOPs. Strong leadership and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, logistics or related field.
3–5 years’ experience in high-volume, food service, unionized distribution, or logistics.
1–3 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
Strong computer software (MS Office) skills.
Experience with Routing and Onboard Software is a strong asset.
Leadership required and able to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
High initiative and attention to detail.
Post-offer background check is required.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute daily manpower requirements for current day and week, minimizing overtime.
Conduct daily shift meetings with safety and operational messages.
Assign daily work duties to drivers and warehouse workers ensuring safety, service and productivity.
Maintain schedules and production/delivery routes.
Maintain payroll entries for warehouse workers.
Provide training and direction to employees on SOPs.
Oversee quality control for in-house and en-route product.
Investigate near misses, injuries, and collisions and implement corrective actions.
