Responsibilities

  • Receive and sort product via manifest and other documents.
  • Verify, record and reconcile inventory and receiving transactions for all clients within the facility.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies with management via order history and audit reports.
  • Conduct regular and scheduled physical or cycle inventory counts.
  • Improve product layouts and participate in ongoing improvements in product layout for increased productivity and performance in the order fulfillment process.
  • Monitor and convert product levels and condition codes for damaged and quarantined stock.
  • Work with customer service/operations team for inquiries and storage counts and verifications.
  • Oversee client product validation processes for new products.
  • Consolidate products per client to optimize storage space.
  • Monitor safe work practices for correct storage methods of products.
  • Develop physical inventory plan, monitor inventories, identify OS&D and report/correct discrepancies.
  • Enter/reconcile inventory into WMS.
  • Ensure equipment is in proper working order; follow PPE programs.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Use handheld scanners to receive, pick and pack orders.
  • Find resourceful solutions to obstacles during order processing and shipping.
  • Build strong relationships with client staff and ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure Health and Safety standards are understood and adhered to.
  • Encourage safe work practices in others.
  • Back-up coverage for other Warehouse departments/facilities.
  • Other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job description

We are looking for a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada for the role of Warehouse Logistics Inventory Control

The role of Warehouse Logistics Inventory Control is a key component of the overall ABC offering and critical to the success of the company and long-term growth to achieve the new vision. ABC Consolidators has differentiated itself by providing a comprehensive offer of services to meet the complete needs of their customers. ABC is an integral part of completing the offering package. The two functional components of ABC – Transportation and Warehousing, are both importance services of the ABC client base but also have the potential to add revenue and profit to ABC.

OBJECTIVE

The Warehouse Logistics Inventory Clerk is responsible for warehouse functions including, but not limited to, unloading/de-stuffing, sorting, picking, kitting, packing, shipping and cycle counts.

Key Accountabilities
  • Receive and sort product via manifest and other documents.
  • Verify, record and reconcile inventory and receiving transactions for all clients within the facility.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies with management via order history and audit reports.
  • Conduct regular and scheduled physical or cycle inventory counts.
  • Improve product layouts and participate in the ongoing improvements in product layout for increased productivity and performance if the order fulfillment process.
  • Monitor and convert product levels and condition codes for damaged and quarantined stock.
  • Work in conjunction with customer service / operations team for customer inquiries and storage counts and verifications.
  • Oversee client product validation processes for new products.
  • Consolidate products per client to optimize storage space ensuring space for new products.
  • Monitoring safe work practices in regards to correct storage methods of products.
  • Develop physical inventory plan, monitor physical inventories, identify all OS&D and report or correct any errors or discrepancies.
  • Enter/reconcile inventory into WMS.
  • Ensure all equipment is in proper working order/conduct inspections before use. Follow PPE programs in place as applicable.
  • Safely operate various material handling equipment.
  • Utilize handheld computerized inventory scanners to accurately receive, pick and pack orders in a timely fashion.
  • Finds resourceful solutions to obstacles that arise during order processing and shipping.
  • Builds strong relationships with individuals at all levels of client organization and guarantee client has a positive, value-added experience in every interaction.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety standards are understood and adhered to.
  • Encourage safe work practices in others.
  • Back‑up coverage for other Warehouse departments/facilities.
  • Other projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge And Skills Required
Education and Industry Knowledge:
  • Previous warehouse experience is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of the warehousing/3PL industry is an asset.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Manages time effectively.
  • Possesses awareness of warehouse and equipment safety procedures.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of computers, ability to work in most Windows applications.
  • Knowledge in ERP/WMS software (i.e. RF Pathways) is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of RF scanners, carts, pallet jacks is mandatory.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs).
  • Reach and Counter Balance Forklift certification are required.
  • Fall arrest and Order Picker certifications are an asset.
  • Able to take direction and work well with others with minimal supervision.

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage a team‑based approach, and develop excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
  • The ability to positively and enthusiastically motivate the ABC Team to short and long term success.
