Job Summary

The Warehouse/Logistics Coordinator is a warehouse-based role responsible for coordinating a variety of tasks that need to be completed in a timely and efficient manner, with a primary responsibility of assisting the PENTAX Canada logistics team with the shipping and receiving of medical device products. The role will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

**Shipping and Receiving**

  • Pick and Pack loaners, demos, and new merchandise for shipment.
  • Prepare proper documentation with medical equipment for outbound shipments; labels, packs, and loads items according to specifications.
  • Contact shipping company and organize shipments.
  • Receive shipments and returns and move items to the appropriate area.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of bills of lading, work orders, or other documentation.
  • Monitor and investigate variances related to receiving documents including manifests, invoices, Purchase Orders (PO), and courier documents.
  • Inspect for damage, compare items and quantities received against freight bills or other records, and document discrepancies.

**Organization of the Warehouse**

  • Ensure the warehouse is in an orderly fashion.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, performing basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environment; clear aisles of debris, stack empty pallets, etc.

**Other General Responsibilities**

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding shipping, receiving, and storing of product; ensure maintenance of a safe working environment by observing all safety policies and procedures.
  • Support assigned logistics project tasks, e.g., ERP projects, Warehouse 5S improvement projects.
  • Perform cycle counts in the warehouse, monitor inventory accuracy, and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Ensure accurate input and recording of information in required systems.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of company products and services.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with employees from other departments, sales reps, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – Education, Experience, Skills, and Expertise

  • College or above education preferred.
  • 5+ years working experience in a warehouse or logistics environment; experience in the Healthcare industry preferred.
  • Capable of handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials by hand or by using a variety of material handling equipment (e.g., scanner, pump truck).
  • Ability to be on feet standing, moving, bending, and twisting for approximately 8 hours daily.
  • Capable of lifting 30-50 lbs consistently; 50+ lbs occasionally.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written); fluency in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrates overall professionalism to maintain an exceptional rapport with external and internal customers.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Outlook and Excel), competency in Windows-based software is a must; prior exposure to ERP systems (MS365) would be an asset.
  • Organizational skills to effectively process all paperwork/products.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented / Experience and skill in counting and cross-checking orders and shipments; takes pride in producing work with high accuracy.
  • Experience working with 3PL - courier services such as UPS, Purolator, FedEx, etc.
