Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of warehouse experience in distribution, steel or piping.
• Experience leading, coaching or supervising people.
• Counterbalance forklift certification is an asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors.
• Strong understanding of warehouse practices including sorting, packaging, loading and inventory.
• Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of accountability and commitment to safety.

Aufgaben

• Assist with assigning daily tasks and prioritizing shipping, receiving and operational priorities.
• Coach and train team members on procedures, equipment and safe work practices.
• Correct safety and procedure issues as they arise, escalate to Warehouse Manager.
• Bring staffing and operational improvement ideas to the Warehouse Manager.
• Attend regular team meetings and maintain a professional, collaborative attitude.
• Cover any warehouse role as needed (receiving, picking, packing, cutting and loading).
• Manage placement and unloading of large deliveries and keep yard traffic flowing.
• Ensure accuracy on packing slips, including heat numbers and backorder details.
• Confirm outgoing orders are staged and ready for pickup or delivery.
