Job summary

Lineage Logistics in Milton, Canada, is seeking a warehouse lead to coordinate daily activities and ensure service, quality, safety, and productivity across all warehouse functions.

You will plan, assign, and coach associates, handle shipping/receiving documents, enter data, and support scheduling with customers and drivers while maintaining logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Administrative experience.
• WMS AS400 experience is a plus.
• Experience with material handling equipment.
• 3 years of experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites with PPE.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs/18 kgs.
• Flexible work schedule, including weekends if needed.
• Comfortable with various noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign and direct the work of warehouse associates within a designated area.
• Handle inbound and outbound paperwork (processing orders).
• Coach and train team members.
• Process and coordinate shipping and receiving documents across several customers daily.
• Enter customer and supplier information and inventory management data accurately.
• Support the arrangement of pick up/delivery appointments based on service and schedule requirements.
• Maintain, generate, and audit driver logs and transportation reports.
• Interface with internal customers daily and support initiatives as assigned by manager.
• Assist with invoicing and accounts receivable collection.
• Report defective or damaged products and follow up with corrective action.
• Manage warehouse associate responsibilities including loading/unloading, forklift operation, product relocation.
• Handle and document daily inspections including equipment and inbound/outbound trailer inspections.
• Check inbound/outbound shipments for compliance and report discrepancies.
• Maintain communication with Traffic and Customer Service.
• Coach and provide feedback to warehouse associates.
• Perform assigned projects as instructed.

Job description

Monday through Friday 7am - 3pm Partner with Operations Leadership to make sure all functions of the warehouse are completed. Assign work to warehouse associates to make certain company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, assign and direct the work of warehouse associates within a designated area
• Handle inbound and outbound paperwork (processing orders)
• Coaching & training team members
• Process and coordinate shipping and receiving documents across several customers daily
• Enter customer and supplier information and inventory management data accurately

• Interface with internal customers daily and support initiatives as assigned by manager

• Report defective or damaged products and follow up with appropriate corrective action in a timely manner
• Manage warehouse associate responsibilities as needed including loading and unloading, forklift operation, product relocation, etc.
• Handle and document daily inspections including equipment inspections and inbound/outbound trailer inspections
• Check inbound/outbound shipments for compliance, and report quantity difference and quality issues where applicable
• Maintain communication with Traffic and Customer Service
• Coach and provide feedback to warehouse associates
• Perform assigned projects as instructed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Administrative experience
• WMS "AS400" experience is a plus
• Experience with Material handling equipment
• 3 years of experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud

Pay Range: $24.81 - $38.80
