Job summary

Aurora Furniture Manufacturing Ltd in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Warehouse & Inventory Control Assistant (Production Area) to maintain inventory accuracy, move materials within the production area, and ensure timely replenishment of production materials.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will perform daily inventory transactions in the ERP/MRP system, conduct cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and support production by delivering materials to workstations while upholding GMP and

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field is an asset.
  • 1–3 years of warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an asset; strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, and organize raw materials and production components.
  • Issue materials to production according to work orders and schedules.
  • Perform daily inventory transactions using ERP/MRP system.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Ensure materials are labeled, stored, and traceable.
  • Deliver materials to appropriate workstations to support production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage area.
  • Assist with inbound and outbound material movements.
  • Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
  • Follow GMP, health and safety procedures; participate in continuous improvement.

Warehouse & Inventory Control Assistant(Production Area)

Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Warehouse & Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting material movements within the production area, and ensuring timely replenishment of production materials. This role plays a key part in keeping our manufacturing operations running efficiently while maintaining high standards of inventory control and workplace organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, verify, and organize raw materials and production components.
  • Issue materials to production according to work orders and production schedules.
  • Perform daily inventory transactions using the ERP/MRP system.
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and traceable.
  • Support production by delivering materials to the appropriate workstations.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and production storage area.
  • Assist with inbound and outbound material movements.
  • Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
  • Follow company policies, GMP requirements, and health and safety procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is an asset.
  • 1–3 years of warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
